Captain Erich Jaeger and Maverick Fishing Charters specialize in providing private offshore fishing adventures in the prolific Gulf of Mexico. Maverick Charters caters to a variety of trip options, created to accommodate anglers of all ages and all levels of fishing expertise, from the first-time rod holders to advanced professionals. Whether you’re on a vacation, thinking of organizing a creative team building or even a birthday celebration, Maverick Charters is happy to customize the trip to your personal wishes.
Capt. Erich is committed to helping you catch fish and to make sure all members of your party enjoy a memorable experience on the water. Apart from providing all the necessary fishing equipment needed for a successful trip and other amenities, the crew of Maverick Charters and their flagship boat - ‘The Big Red One’ also take their time teaching you how you should fish, making sure you’ve got the knowledge you’ll need to keep bringing the fish on board.
The Big Red One is a 40’ Dorado center console with a maximum capacity of 6 anglers per trip. The boat features a 13’ beam and stocks a 100-gallon livewell, and is outfitted with a stand-up head and shower. It sports a queen-size V berth and a shaded cockpit and comes with all the modern marine electronics, such as GPS, radio, and fishfinder. The boat is handicapped-accessible.
All tackle, including live and artificial bait, are provided by the Maverick crew. You’re welcome to bring along food and drinks of your choice for the trip - a cooler with ice can be found on board. Fishing licenses for all occupants of the vessel will be covered by Captain Erich, so all you need to do is bring your energy and climb aboard the Maverick Fishing Charters, where the fish is guaranteed – or you don’t pay!
