Fill the boat with delicious fish aboard Field Tester Sportfishing Inc. Based out of Montauk, you’ll explore the fantastic fishery of New York state’s rich bays and sounds. Stripers, Flukes, Seabass, and Porgies all make for an exquisite dish, so you’ll want to hook as many as possible.
Hailing from the Long Island Sound’s shores, Captain Chris Ceo has been fishing since before he can remember. He knows all the best spots and effective techniques to get fish on the boat.
The “Field Tester” is a 31’ downeast boat, perfect for fishing these inshore waters. Capt. Chris restored her in 2014 and she now comes powered by a 450 HP Cummins engine and is fitted with plenty of modern creature comforts for a smooth ride to sea.
All fish are targeted with live bait onboard the Field Tester, and you’ll be welcomed aboard to a full tank of fresh bait. The first mate will help you set up everything you need as you get ready to drift fish to entice the bite of these mouth-watering creatures.
Evening trips will see you catch the last bite of the day of Striped Bass, taking advantage of the full tides and chasing after these popular fish. Other trips will see you go after Flukes, Porgies, and Seabass while jigging to lure them in. Just let the captain know if there’s any species you’d particularly like to target and he’ll see what he can do.
At the end of the day, the first mate will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home. Just beware, if you have a particularly successful day, he may not have time to prepare them all! Rest assured, you’ll be reeling in plenty of delightful fish thanks to the experienced crew and productive seas. All that’s left for you to do is get booking and hop aboard for an unforgettable fishing experience.
