Whitecap Charters – Grand Traverse Bay
With Whitecap Charters, the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan will be all yours. The captain operates from various locations on the lake and always follows the bite. He uses the finest gear and tackle to make sure everyone on board has the best chances of landing the fish of their dreams.
Join the crew early in the season or wrap it up later in October. Light tackle is used in spring and summer, while in fall, the crew switches to heavy tackle. You will be able to use high-quality rods and reels by Shimano, Ugly Stik, and Okuma to land Coho and Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Lake and Brown Trout, Walleye, and Yellow Perch.
It will take you around half an hour to drop the lines and fish. The trip will take place on the ‘Whitecap II,’ a 27’ American International cuddy cabin with twin 225 HP Yamaha engines. She is a spacious vessel which can accommodate up to 6 anglers. The Whitecap II features modern electronics, professional accessories, bait, and even a private restroom – a much-needed thing when spending your day on the water.
All bait, gear, and fish cleaning service will be included in the price. Catering service is also available for an extra cost – just let the crew know in advance.
