Grasp the beauty of Marsden cove at Bream Bay in Whangarei and Whangarei Heads. Audacious based at Marsden Cove, Whangarei Heads and they’ll take you to the most mesmerizing fishing spots. Whether it’s a family gathering, team building, or friendly reunion we can help.
The boat ‘Audacious’ is the crew’s pride and joy. She’s a 48’ Scott Robson, purchased in January 2017. She was out of the water for 11 months, with lots of hard work and care invested in her restoration, all so she can be on top of her game.
The boat is fast for a big boat, cruising at an average speed of 17-19 knots. Featuring a stable platform, the vessel will provide room for 7 guests during day trips, while overnight trips can accommodate up to 6 guests. The boat has a private bathroom with a shower, a fully functional kitchen, a bedroom, and a fighting chair for the most vigorous of fishing duels.
Fishing is available year round but what you’ll be catching depends on the package you choose. A multi-day trip will take you chasing Kingfish, big Snapper, Grouper, and Blue Nose. Captain Matt Keeton and his crew are familiar with the area, particularly the north, which includes the Bay of Islands and Tutukaka. Targeting Pink Snapper, Hapuka, and Kingfish (Yellowtail Amberjack) is guaranteed fun! You might also catch sight of whales and sea birds, including the Pacific’s blue penguins.
Rods, bait, and tackle cost $23 per person. Berley and ice cost $60. There are some snacks and bottled water on the boat but you should bring your own food and beverages. The boat is alcohol free so please respect this.
With an array of islands and a sheltered haven to explore, this is the perfect opportunity to relax and land that big one. Book your spot with Audacious and enjoy!
