Downtown Tampa Charters is one of the most conveniently-located boats you’ll find. Just a stone’s throw away from the center of Tampa, you’ll be exploring the skinny waters of the bays, bayous, and rivers around Florida’s western shoreline. Captain Max Rowe grew up on these waters and has 10 years experience as a licensed captain, so he knows these waterways like the back of his hand.

This spacious 23’ center console can take up to 6 guests, and is powered by a 150 HP Suzuki engine. Once you’re close to your target fish, the wireless trolling motor will kick in, allowing you to cruise along the water without disturbing the sensitive fish beneath. You’ll catch them off-guard, giving you a much better chance to hook one!

Popular fish that Capt. Max helps you target include Cobia, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Snook, and the “Silver King” – Tarpon. With top of the range Penn and Shimano gear to work with, as well as ready-prepared live bait, you have a great chance of catching yourself some dinner. Capt. Max or his first mate will happily clean and fillet the fish on the boat for you, while you sit back and enjoy your day.

With shorter and extended trips, Downtown Tampa Charters has something for everyone! Bring your own beer and fish with your pals, or come with the kids and teach them the art of fishing along these calm waters. All within touching distance of the city. It couldn’t be simpler: if you’re in Tampa, there’s a trip for you.

I grew up on the water in Tampa Bay and fishing has been my passion since I could operate a rod and reel. I love catching big fish - lots of big fish. You never know what big sea creature you'll find out there, sharks, dolphins, manatees, and even alligators are regularly spotted while fishing. Not knowing what you're going to see is one of the most exciting things I can think of and keeps me coming back. After developing a love for fishing, and earning the nickname "Captain,"- through middle and highschool, I took a scholarship to USF to play college baseball. Then I pursued being a drummer in a rock band, now I'm a charter captain and have been for 10 years. Fishing is my true passion and is now just about the only thing I do in my life. It is my passion, career, hobby, and therapy. I get along with everyone and welcome all skill levels. I love the science behind catching fish and love to educate. I hope to pass on my passion to all of my customers.
