Small Craft Advisory Guide Service - Bayshore
Head to Bayshore Park to join Small Craft Advisory Guide Service and explore the mighty Green Bay. Spend your day filling the cooler and come back to shore with your very own “catch of the day!”
You will be fishing for Walleye, concentrating on different techniques that vary throughout the season. Trips begin as soon as the landings are open in the spring and go until ice-up.
Thousands of hungry Walleye begin to head up the Green Bay tributary rivers looking for the perfect spawning side in spring. Trophy catches and double-digit days are common during this period and can definitely keep your rods busy. The primary method at this time is jigging, along with casting or trolling crankbaits.
When the spawn is over, Walleye head back out to Green Bay, where they reside in shallow water reefs, humps, and along the shorelines. You will be concentrating on trolling to find active structures or jigging.
If you want to book a summertime trip, your guide will show you the most productive grounds which are also called “the mud.” You will be trolling harnesses or crankbaits and jigging certain areas before switching to snap jigging. Hardly anything can beat the thrill of Walleye on a jig rod!
To wrap up the season, you will be heading into some of the tributaries to troll crankbaits or cast. This time of year is ideal for those anglers who are looking for less fishing pressure.
Your adventure will take place on a 22’ Nitro boat, powered by a 350 HP Mercury engine. All trips come with the use of rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures. There will be a cooler on board for your drinks and food. Please make sure to purchase a valid fishing license ahead of time.
