Born Free Fishing Bahamas -35ft
Born Free Fishing Charters wants to make sure you have a great time on the Bahamian waters, whether its fishing, snorkeling or sightseeing that you’re looking for while on your holiday. The fleet’s 3 charters - Born Free, Born Free II and Born Free IV - have been running trips for over thirty years now, with their seasoned crews specializing in all types of fishing techniques utilized in these waters, including big game, bottom as well as light tackle fishing. Born Free captains are well-versed in local fishing grounds, and know just where to take you if you’re looking to snorkel some of Nassau’s prettiest coral reefs.
The Born Free II is a 35 foot long Allman sport fisher with the maximum passenger capacity of 6 anglers per trip. The boat features a toilet as well as a small cabin, with plenty of shade if you’d like to get away from the sun for a while. Standard navigational equipment and marine technology on board includes GPS, radio as well as Fish finder. Soft drinks as well as fishing licenses for all members of your party are included with each trip.
Nassau is teeming with deep sea and bottom fishing potential, with some of the most common catches aboard Born Free including Dorado, Wahoo, Tuna, Barracuda, Grouper and many other species, depending on the time of year. All the appropriate fishing gear, complete with live and artificial bait are supplied by the Captain. The crew is very familiar with all the different deep sea fishing methods, and take pride in seeing many of their customers returning to fish with them once again year after year.
Not many great deep sea destinations are as close to the US as the Bahamas. Just a boat ride away from Florida Keys, Nassau’s proximity allows you to easily stop by over the weekend for some excellent deep sea fishing, leaving the cold and bad weather back in the northern states. You are free to keep the fish you catch, and the Born Free crew will be happy to offer a complimentary cleaning of your catch upon request.

It was their Holliday in the Bahamas, but they still went through the motions. We felt a lack of effort was put forth.and caught no target fish.( Mahi, barracuda and so on) I’m from the USA and didn’t know it was their Holliday. All in all it was still a Good trip because the last 20 minutes we bottom fished (very easy )and caught enough fish to take Jimmy Buffetts and they cooked it for us. Delicious. Nice equipment as well. But they would not talk to us unless we talked to them.

1st mate was OK but not overly friendly. After greeting, the only time we saw the Captain was about 3 hrs into our 4 hr charter. There were 6 of us in our group and they only had 5 poles for bottom fishing. The Captain was using one of those,(trying to help 1 person in our party), but we had to ask him at least 3 times to give it up. Other than only catching 2 smaller fish while we were deep sea fishing for about 2 1/2 hrs, we still had fun for our 1st charter fishing trip. Once was fun and everyone in our group had a good time, but there will not be a 2nd time.

We had a great experience! Our family had never been deep sea fishing and didn’t know what to expect. The crew was very nice and Chris was very knowledgeable in helping my son catch his 51” wahoo. The boat was very clean and comfortable. The shade, nice leather chairs and bathroom made our 4 hour excursion very enjoyable. We will be back!
