Back At It Fishing Charters

Captian Mike is a world traveled Professional Captain and Mate and has spent most of his life fishing up and down the East Coast, the Bahamas, Bermuda and Mexico. He started fishing at a young age becoming a 4th generation fisherman. His passion is fishing and enjoys teaching others. Captian Mike would love to show you our year round local fishery and what it has to offer! From - Backwater to Bluewater he’s got you covered! We have a wonderful fishery here in the nations oldest city and Captain Mike will show you an unforgettable experience!

Behind the helm of Back At It Fishing Charters, he specializes in St. Augustine’s famous flats, backcountry waters, inlets, and nearshore fishing grounds, home to a huge host of incredible species – Redfish, feisty Tarpon, and plenty more. Get ready to experience inshore Florida fishing at its finest!

You’ll be fishing from Capt. Mike’s 22’ Pathfinder bay boat, perfectly built to navigate Florida’s seriously shallow flats and skinny backcountry waters. She can accommodate up to 4 guests, so bring along your family, or indulge in some friendly competition with your best angling buddies. On board, you’ll find top-notch navigational and safety gear, and a wireless trolling motor so you can sneak up on your catch.

There’s a reason why Capt. Mike named his charter “Back At It” – he specializes in exploring this area’s incredible backcountry, as well as the flats and local inlets. You’ll have the chance to experience light tackle backwater fishing, head to the Intracoastal waterway, and even bottom fish, depending on what will provide the best experience.

Angler's Choice
The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.
Captain Mike spent his early childhood fishing on the local creeks and marshlands for redfish, trout, flounder, black drum and several other local species. It is safe to say that a love for angling runs in the family – he’s a 4th generation fisherman, so fishing came naturally to him! During his teenage years he worked as a mate on several boats, and after high school, he continued his education in the fishing and boating industry. He spent the next period of his life traveling and fishing the offshore canyons of the Western Atlantic, Bermuda, St. Thomas, the Bahamas, Mexico and other prime fishing locations. In 2009, he decided to settle in St. Augustine, and started running inshore trips. He welcomes every type of angler on his vessel, from novices to experts. He loves teaching kids how to fish and introducing them to the world of saltwater fishing. From novice to seasoned vet, you wont be disappointed.
