Hout Bay Charters
Get ready to explore the plentiful fishing grounds of Hout Bay Harbour and the Cape coastline onboard Hout Bay Charters! With Skipper Barry Stringer at the helm, you’ll be treated to a fun and productive day out on the water that’ll see you reeling in impressive inshore or offshore species. Barry and his crew will use their wealth of local knowledge and experience to get you to the hotspots – you’ll be in the middle of the action in no time!
Your skipper Barry has been angling for 20 years, and running his charter business for 10 years. He has two great passions – catching fish, and putting his guests on fish! His number one goal is to make sure that his guests have a great time out on the waters around Hout Bay Harbor. Cape Town offers one of the best Yellowfin Tuna fisheries in the world, so if you’ve always wanted to reel in this hard-fighter, let Barry share his tricks and tips with you.
You’ll be heading on your adventure in a 28’ Gecat walkaround vessel. She can accommodate up to 6 anglers, and children are more than welcome on board! If you opt for the inshore trip, then the minimum age is 3 years. For the offshore adventure, children aged 10 and up can join in on the hard-fighting fishing fun. Your skipper will provide life jackets for little ones, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them along.
Aboard your vessel, you’ll find top-of-the-line safety and navigational gear, a private toilet, and an ice box to keep your catch fresh! Barry will make sure you’re decked out with top-quality Shimano rods and reels, and will teach you the best techniques to reel in your catch. If you explore offshore waters, he’ll have you spinning, popping, and more for Snoek and Yellowtail. Head offshore, and you’ll be trolling and jigging as you battle huge Yellowfin Tuna!
When you return to land, the skipper and crew will clean and fillet your catch for you. Come aboard Hout Bay Charters and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!
