Perdido Key, FL, known for its unspoiled beaches, direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, and plentiful fishing opportunities, lies directly between Florida and Alabama. Who could be better equipped to introduce you to this fantastic fishery than a captain who’s explored the waters of both states? With over 50 years of angling experience, Capt. Rick Murdoch can’t wait to welcome you aboard Alabama Girl Fishing and show you just what lies beneath these fishing grounds!
Capt. Rick offers a variety of fun, family-friendly trips, exploring both the inshore and nearshore waters of Perdido Key. He’s happy to cater your adventure to perfectly fit your wants and needs. You’ll be involved from the very beginning – if live bait is available, you’ll even be able to pull in the shrimp net to catch your bait! From there, Capt. Rick will use his wealth of knowledge to guide you to the hotspots and hook your dream catch.
You’ll be traveling on board a 24’ Kenner bay boat, fully decked out with top-of-the-line navigational gear, life jackets for all ages, and a wireless trolling motor so that you can cruise seriously shallow waters without spooking your catch. Your captain’s vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests, with plenty of room for relaxation, as well as some top angling action!
When it comes to the species on offer, you’ll have the chance to hook a whole host of world-famous Floridian fish. Target inshore waters, and you’ll be reeling in huge Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Spotted Seatrout, and whatever else is biting. If you want to head further out, you’ll be going after Red Snapper, King and Spanish Mackerel, little Tunny, and even a variety of Shark species.
Capt. Rick will be on hand to show you the best techniques to use – trolling, bottom fishing, drift fishing, spinning, and more. Light tackle is available, so anglers of all ages will be able to reel in their catch. Join Alabama Girl Fishing and get ready to experience Floridian fishing at its finest!
