Lucky Buck Fishing Charters – Skaneateles
New York’s Finger Lakes region is known for being home to some stunning scenery, as well as plenty of history, museums, and national parks. Thanks to the 11 long, finger lakes that gave the area its name, it’s also a hotbed of top angling action! Captain Robert “Buck” Carter is a local, lifelong fisherman who can’t wait to take you exploring some of Skaneateles’ most productive fishing grounds on board Lucky Buck Fishing Charters.
Capt. Buck has plenty of charter experience under his belt – at the age of 21, he was running his own fleet of charter boats in the Florida Keys. His love of first-class freshwater fishing led him to return to New York, where he now provides his guests with incredible angling adventures on two of the most bountiful Finger Lakes – Skaneateles Lake and Otisco Lake. He specializes in reeling in world-famous freshwater fish – Walleye, Perch, and Trout, to name a few!
You’ll be navigating the lakes on board your captain’s 25’ Carolina Skiff, perfectly built to tackle these long, narrow waters. She can accommodate up to 4 guests, including children aged 10 and above – bring along the family, or some fellow freshwater fanatics! She’s equipped with top-notch navigational gear, including GPS and fishfinder, life jackets for all ages, a cooler to store your catch in, and a wireless trolling motor so you can cruise to the hotspots without spooking your fish.
Skaneateles Lake is known for its cleanliness, and for offering up some awesome freshwater fishing – get ready to reel in plenty of Walleye, Lake Trout, Tiger Musky, Bass, and more. Your captain will have you trying out a variety of techniques, including bottom fishing, trolling, and live bait fishing. When it comes to Trout, he’ll teach you his own “dropping” method to hook them. You’ll be able to go after these species on Otisco Lake, too.
Your trip includes top-notch rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Come aboard Lucky Buck Fishing Charters for a first-class freshwater fishing adventure!
