Warfish Marine Charters
Discover the delights of the Coromandel Peninsula with Warfish Marine Charters and get your fish on. Famed for its winding waterways and stunning beaches, Whitianga is the ideal place to start a Pacific Ocean voyage. You can hit the productive reefs or head offshore to target a range of huge, breathtaking, and delicious fish.
These waters really have it all, and you’ll get to experience it with an experienced team. With over 35 years of fishing experience, the team was assembled in 2003 with the aim of providing personalized, exciting fishing trips. To this day, each trip is unique, and your captain will do anything to help you land some monster fish.
You’ll fish aboard the largest boat of the Warfish Marine fleet – the “Ika Nui.” A 7.3 m Sportscraft aluminium fishing boat, she possesses everything you need to traverse and fish the nearshore and offshore waters. She comes fitted with a full toilet and bed for your comfort, while you’ll have plenty of space for up to 6 people to sit, stand, and fish throughout the day.
Thanks to the onboard outriggers and downriggers, along with a live bait well, you’re all set for a productive day on the water. You can troll the open seas or bottom fish the reefs with a range of live bait and artificial lures, as you go after some incredible fish.
Offshore trips will see you battle it out against impressive species such as Marlin, Sailfish, Kingfish, Bluenose, and Hapuka. While nearshore, you can target Snappers and Trevallies. These incredible fish will provide for an exhilarating time on the water, as well as a well-deserved treat at the end of the day, so make the most of it!
Trips are priced on a per person basis, but groups of 1 or 2 are welcome provided they pay the minimum price for 3 people. The Warfish Marine Charters team encourages groups of all ages, sizes, and experience levels to come aboard and experience New Zealand’s incredible fishing. Hop aboard and take advantage!
