SR Fishing is proud to offer its customers the opportunity to experience some of the best fishing that Lake Simcoe has to offer. From novices to experienced anglers, from guests looking for stress relief to those chasing the catch of a lifetime – Steve Rowbotham has you covered. The rich local fishery allows anglers to target a variety of species and the opportunity to land some seriously big fish, given enough time.
You’ll be fishing from a 19’ Alumacraft boat, powered by a 90 HP Yamaha outboard. The vessel is capable of top speeds of up to 40 mph, meaning you’ll be wasting no time getting to the desired locations as you pursue your targets. Once there, the boat will provide you with a stable fishing platform, enabling you to cast with maximum accuracy and have the best shot at a catch you’ll be proud of.
From big Lake Trout to tasty Whitefish and Perch, trophy Smallmouth Bass, and others, the local fishery is rich with all the region’s prized species. The charter operates throughout the year, but different seasons are best for targeting different species. Spring is the best season for Perch, Pike, Lake Trout, and Largemouth Bass. In the Summer and Fall, you’ll be able to hook up some giant Smallmouth Bass.
SR Fishing also offers charters in the Winter. These are ice fishing trips, all necessary equipment and transportation will be provided. The guide will take you to the fishing grounds on a snowmobile where he’ll have heated portable huts to fish from. The species targeted on these trips are Lake Trout and Whitefish. Just make sure to dress for the Canadian Winter!
According to Ontario regulation all customers need to purchase their fishing licenses ahead of the trip. On board, you’ll be provided with Gatorade and bottled water but you’re still welcome to bring any food and drinks you’d like.
Now if you’re ready for your fishing adventure, find an open day that works for you, book a trip, and start planning your visit to Lake Simcoe!
