Catch A Lot Charters

Get ready for some heavy lifting as you hunt some colossal fish off the world-famous Kenai Peninsula. Based out of the “Halibut Capital of the World,” Catch A Lot Charters will take you offshore to the Gulf of Alaska and Cook inlet in search of huge Halibut, stunning Salmon, and delicious Lingcod and Rockfish.

Captain Michael Patterson is a 4th-generation angler, and operator of the family business. Having started running charters during the 1940s, Catch A Lot have had plenty of years to learn exactly what makes a productive and enjoyable fishing trip. With saltwater running through the family’s blood, Capt. Michael hopes to pass on his enthusiasm to you.

Step aboard the 32’ Boulton aluminum fishing boat. Powered by twin 250 HP Honda engines, you’ll reach speeds of up to 27 knots as you chase after the monstrous fish. Make use of the onboard toilet for your convenience, while you’ll take advantage of the downriggers as you troll the open waters for the bite of these beasts.

In May, you’ll stay within 20 miles of land, as the fish stay closer to shore. During the summer months, you’ll go up to 50 miles offshore in search of these beauties, before the end of the season will allow you to stay in the calmer waters again. Capt. Michael knows all the sweet spots, so get ready for a workout as you feel the bite of a Halibut or Salmon at the end of your line.

Up to 6 people are welcome on board, including children over the age of 6. Bring the whole family along for a memorable day, and get everyone hooked on fishing with Catch A Lot Charters. All you need to do is grab your fishing license, bring some clothes for all weather, along with plenty of snacks and drinks, and settle in for a thrilling day.

At the end of the trip, the first mate will clean your catch, so you can head home ready to cook your delicious treat. Bring some cash to tip him and you’re good to go. Come and explore this idyllic paradise and test your strength against some giants of the sea!

A 4th-generation Alaskan fisherman, Captain Michael has been on the water since he can remember. His Dad helped get him hooked at a young age and he's lived and breathed fishing since he was 5 years old. By now, he's been a captain for nearly a quarter of a century and never tires of the job. He hopes to make sure that every guest enjoys and gets their hands on as many fish as possible. A passionate fisherman, he also welcomes the next generations along to learn from him. You can book: Halibut only, Combo Trip (Halibut/Salmon, Salmon/Rockfish) or Long Range Combo Charter (Target: Silver Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod, Rock Fish). Please give us a call for more details. If you need Private Boat Tours you have to book 6 PAX, the capacity.
