When it comes down to light tackle inshore fishing in Florida, Prime Tide Fishing Charters should be your number one choice. From the shallow grass flats, ledges and reefs, intercoastal waterways, and nearshore waters around Clearwater, to the finest nearshore grounds in North Tampa Bay, there is a trip for you.
The company is run and operated by Captain Austin Mcwhorter. An enthusiastic angler and a patient guide, Austin has the knowledge, experience, and equipment to put you on top of the hottest bite possible.
He will take you out aboard a 24’ Sheaffer Marine center console, fresh on the water in 2017. This spacious vessel can cruise at a hair-raising speed of 50 knots thanks to its 300 HP Yamaha engine. The boat has a shallow draft to fish the inshore areas and provides an exceptionally dry and stable ride.
This seaworthy vessel is rigged out with top-notch electronics to precisely put you on the fish and keep you safe with its satellite weather overlay. Its Simrad GPS and fishfinder will build up a clear image of where the fish are hiding, while the wireless trolling motor will ensure a quiet ride. There is also a VHF radio, two live wells, a cooler, and plenty of storage. The only thing that’s missing is you!
With Prime Tide Fishing Charters, you will be able to get your hands on anything from Tarpon, Permit, Cobia, and Hogfish to Redfish, Snook, Trout, Tripletail, Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, and many other species.
All trips depart from either the Belleair Causeway/Seminole St. Boat Ramps in Clearwater and the Cove Cay Marina on the west side of Tampa Bay.
