If you’re looking for an ultimate Campbell River fishing experience, you can’t go wrong with Coastal Wilderness Adventures. They are a year-round, full-time Vancouver Island operation providing both freshwater and saltwater adventures. Their main goal is for you to have the best possible experience on Vancouver Island by providing relaxing and fun-filled trips.
They’re operating out of Campbell River in British Columbia, famous for being the “Salmon Capital of the World.” This area is the epicenter of various productive fisheries of Vancouver Island. You’ll be fishing these protected calm waters without any worries about getting seasick – no ocean swells here.
They operate 7–8 23–28′ Grady White or equivalent boats, all heated, covered, and with onboard restrooms. Their vessels are equipped with the top quality gear to provide a carefree fishing experience. Each boat can accommodate up to 4 anglers, out of which 2 can fish at the same time. The boats also feature top-notch marine electronics and safety gear, twin 200 HP Yamaha engines, downriggers, live bait tanks, and ice boxes.
Coastal Wilderness Adventures uses a variety of efficient techniques for Salmon, Trout, Steelhead, and bottom fish, and they’ll do everything to put you on whatever your heart desires. They’ll take you fishing the inner passageways between Vancouver Island and the mainland – you can sometimes reach the top locations in just 5 minutes, depending on the spot.
Most of the trips will include trolling with 2 lines in the water and you can also expect to do some bottom fishing. Fly fishing is also available upon prior notice and the charter will cover the best gear – including Sage Salmon Fly Rods and Nautilus Single Action reels. When it comes to bottom fishing, you’ll be provided with top-of-the-line Shimano and Islander gear. Lures and frozen bait are also complimentary.
You’re free to bring a cooler with any drinks and food of your choosing – they’ll take care of the rest.
