Exit 8 Bass Hawaii
Hawaii is probably best known for its tropical climate, stunning beaches, and laid-back atmosphere – however, it’s also a serious hotbed of top-notch angling action. Want to experience some incredible freshwater fishing in a beautiful (and unexpected!) location? Come down to Wahiawa and join local guide and avid angler, Paul Lacerdo, aboard Exit 8 Bass Hawaii for the chance to reel in some world-famous freshwater fish!
Your guide, Paul, is a local fisherman through and through – he grew up on these waters, so it’s safe to say that he knows them like the back of his own hand! He’s been working as a professional guide since 2015, and loves nothing more than introducing guests to the fantastic fishing grounds that Wahiawa has to offer. He specializes in trips that target vibrant Peacock Bass, as well as other freshwater favorites such as Catfish and Largemouth Bass.
Your guide loves providing guests with a truly hands-on angling experience, and is happy to take up to 2 anglers (new, or experienced!) on board his 17’ Tracker bass boat. This means that you’ll have a completely personalised trip, and can get some expert guidance from Paul when it comes to landing your dream catch! Your vessel is decked out with top-of-the-line navigational gear, life jackets for adults and children aged 8+, and a wireless trolling motor that’ll allow you to sneak up on the fish without spooking them.
Your guide will be on hand to show you the best techniques – as well as his favorite tips and tricks – to hook your catch, including jigging, popping, and spinning. Paul is happy to take you fly fishing, too, as long as you have previous experience and your own gear. Your guide practices catch and release only, so make sure you bring a camera along to capture your Peacock Bass on film – these fish are photogenic!
Your trip includes top-notch rods and reels, tackle, and bait. All you need to bring is a fishing license. Come aboard Exit 8 Bass Hawaii and see a whole new side of this island!
