This charter is owned by Miguel Ancona, a Puerto Aventuras native who prides himself in working alongside friendly, experienced captains and an experienced crew to provide a variety of top trips. The captains are local fishing fanatics who have been exploring these waters for a long time. With one of them at the helm of Kay Kib you’ll be exploring the hottest spots around and hooking some incredible species, no matter your age or skill level!
The Reel Thing is a 38’ Bertram 38 Special sportfishing vessel that can accommodate up to 12 guests, with plenty of room on board for ample angling action! She’s a true fishing machine that’s decked out with top-notch navigational gear, life jackets for all ages, a full toilet, and an ice box to keep your catch fresh. If you’re looking to battle some seriously big game fish, you’ll find outriggers and a fighting chair to help you reel ‘em in!
Speaking of big game, your captain will take you out to the local reefs and beyond for the chance to hook into world-famous fish such as Mahi Mahi, mighty Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and plenty more. You’ll also have the chance to reel in reef-dwellers such as Snappers, Groupers, and Barracuda. You’ll be trying out a range of techniques, including trolling, deep sea fishing, and bottom fishing.
