Amazon Fishing Peacock Bass
Has it always been your dream to fish in the Amazon? Then you’re in luck, Amazon Fishing Peacock Bass offers just that and more! You’ll need more than a day on the water to explore this incredible landscape and Captain Thiago Fantini offers just that on his multi-day fishing trip.
There are two things to consider on a multi-day fishing trip, and those are your boat and your lodging. In terms of the vessel, Capt. Thiago operates an 8" aluminum fishing boat powered by a 333 HP Yamaha outboard motor. There’s also an ice box for your catch and a kettle. You’ll head out in pairs and switch throughout the day, depending on the number of people in your party.
After a long day and a thrilling day on the water, you’ll go back to your lodging in the city of Barcelos. The lodge features air-conditioned suites, a restaurant, full board, and even drinks including bottled water, soft drinks, and beer.
The waters here are home to species you’ll rarely see anywhere else. You’ll fish the waters of the Rio Negro for giant Peacock Bass, Wolffish, Bicuda, Arapaima, and Payara. These waters are also home to a giant variety of Catfish called Pirara that can come in at over 150 pounds. Most of these fish make for great table fare and you’ll keep anything you’d like to eat later.
You’ll need to bring your own gear and bait, which shouldn’t be a problem for most passionate anglers, and everything else will be taken care of. Capt. Thiago will even pick up at the Manaus airport and you’ll travel by speed boat to Barcelos. The journey is long – but the sights you’ll take in are incredible!
Head out for the Amazonian fishing adventure of a lifetime with Amazon Fishing Peacock Bass!
