Based out of the heart of the Panhandle, Fish King Charters will take you offshore into the Gulf of Mexico. Fish the reefs and deeper waters for a range of huge species. Under Captain Charles Taliaferro’s guidance, you won’t go wrong. A former tournament Bass fisherman, he turned to saltwater as “you never know what you’ll catch.”
In addition to this, he is the proud owner of a federal reef fish permit, which means that he can take you out to seriously deep waters between June 1st and August 25th. You’ll have the chance to hook the much-sought-after Red Snapper, as well as many other reef-dwellers!
Capt. Charles hasn’t looked back since purchasing his 32’ Cape Horn center console. With twin 300 HP Yamaha four stroke engines, you’ll reach the sweetest spots in comfort and style. When on the reefs, the wireless trolling motor will keep you steady as you bottom fish without disturbing the fish beneath. There’s a private bathroom fitted for your convenience, and children over the age of 10 are welcome aboard. Bring the family for a fun-filled day!
Hit the reefs for different Snappers, Groupers, Cobia, and Amberjack. Using the latest Shimano and Penn reels and rods, you can also jig to make your dream catch. In the deeper waters, set up the trolling lines and go after even bigger Snappers and Groupers, and beautiful, delicious Mahi Mahi. All trips will go a minimum of 15 miles offshore, and you’ll head as far as 50 miles on longer trips in search of the biggest, most powerful fish.
Before heading off, Capt. Charles will ask what you want to catch and will take you to the exact spot. He can’t wait to make your dreams come true. You’re in for a truly personalized service aboard Fish King Charters, so just bring some snacks, water, and sunscreen to stay refreshed and safe during the day. There’s nothing left to do but get booking and get down to Apalachicola.
