9 Mile Outfitters

Get ready for some extreme fishing on the ice with 9 Mile Outfitters. Skid along the frozen Moosehead Lake and set up camp on the water with your guide Tim Cox. Help him set up the 8x12’ ice hut, drill two holes, and set up the stove and heating to protect you from the elements. A native to Greenville, ME, Tim is a natural outdoorsman. Although he fishes year-round, he can never wait to get out on the ice, waiting for the bite of an exciting fish.

There’s room for 2 guests aboard the 11’ Arctic Cat snowmobile. Come prepared and wrap up warm as the wind chill will bite as you speed along the ice. Once you settle on a spot, you’ll help out in setting up the ice hut, while your guide uses his Jiffy auger to drill holes. There’s plenty of space inside the hut, and you can take advantage of the stove, and free lunch to stay warm and comfortable all day.

Year-round, the Moosehead Lake is home to exceptional species of fish. Delicious and tough-fighting in equal measure, you’ll need to use all your skill to get them through the small hole in the ice. With live bait at the end of Heritage traps and at the end of your rod as you jig, you’ll try to entice the bite of Burbot, Lake Trout, and tantalizing Brook Trout and Salmon. At the end of the day, you can even take your catch home for a warming, hearty meal.

Thanks to Tim’s top-of-the-range gear, there will only be one winner when you fight the elements this winter. Enjoy the moment with a close friend, a loved one, or engage in some quality father and son bonding, on this trip for 2. This is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life, to peaceful tranquility and comradeship. 9 Mile Outfitters is calling you to Moosehead Lake, so make the most of your winter, and get your fish on.

Tim Cox began fishing at a young age. During the open season, he enjoys fly fishing and trolling along the water tops, but winter sees him shine. He just loves ice fishing, and can often be found on his own, indulging in his pleasure. He claims that it's even better to share it with other people. Tim remembers catching a 37" Pike a few years ago and hopes that you could be the one to help him top that.
