Playa Flamingo fits the perfect postcard image when it comes to sandy beaches, stunning azure waters, and constant sunshine – but it’s also a hotbed of top-notch angling opportunities. If you’re looking to explore some of the best inshore fishing grounds available, join Tantrum Boat Charters for the chance to hook some world-famous saltwater species. In spite of its name, you’ll be leaving this charter with a huge smile on your face!
Captain Ed Wilkins has been fishing his whole life, and classes himself as a true angling aficionado. He uses his lifetime of experience and knowledge to provide first-class inshore adventures in this beautiful location. Whether you’re a hardcore angler who wants to tick fighting the feisty Roosterfish off your bucket list, or are looking for an incredible family trip, you’ll be in safe hands with Capt. Ed.
Your adventure begins on your captain’s 29’ Boca Grande classic vessel, named the “Tantrum.” She’s a total fishing machine that’s perfectly built to transport up to 4 guests out to the hottest inshore and nearshore spots. On board, you’ll find GPS, fishfinder, life jackets for all ages, and a full toilet, so you’ll be guaranteed a safe and comfortable journey. She’s also outfitted with outriggers to cover plenty of ground when trolling for your catch, and an ice box for storage when you’ve reeled ‘em in.
Capt. Ed focuses mainly on taking his guests to inshore hot spots, and in Costa Rica, this means that you’ll come face-to-gills with some seriously impressive species. You’ll mainly be bottom fishing and trolling for Roosterfish, Snapper, Goliath Grouper, and whatever else happens to be biting. Keen fly fisherman? Bring your best gear along with you! As well as fishing, you’ll also be able to snorkel – gear is included.
Rods, reels, bait, and tackle are also included in your trip, as well as refreshments. Grab a fishing license, come aboard Tantrum Boat Charters, and get ready to make some incredible memories!
