A private charter is always something that I have wanted to do in all the years that we have been coming to Gulf Shores. Free Bird Inshore / Offshore Charters and Captain Jerry did not disappoint! Depending on what you want to fish for captain Jerry took us on a quick 10 min boat ride and put us right on the fish ! In our 2 hour trip we caught 71 white trout! Captain Jerry was very professional and knowledgeable about the surroundings and the fish we were gonna catch. Lastly he filleted every fish for us and gave us a local recipe for cooking our fish and it was delicious! Thanks again Free Bird, you will see us again next year as my son is asking if we can book it now !

This was our 1st fishing trip experience and definitely not our last! I took my 2 kids who are 9 and 15! My son loves to fish so this was most definitely the highlight of his trip! He said he wanted to catch a big fish and he did just that and his smile was PRICELESS! Captain Jerry put us on fish all day, the kids pretty much caught something everytime! He was a great captain and very patient with my kiddos which I appreciated! He even taught miss Leah how to fillet a fish when the trip was over! The trip was a great experience and we all enjoyed ourselves, we couldn’t have asked for a better Captain for our 1st fishing trip!!!  We were very grateful to get to know Jerry, he is one of the most selfless, kind, generous people and I thank him very much for getting to know me and my kids and making our trip an unforgettable one❤️🎣

The Garrison Brothers from Texas had a blast the second year with the team at Gulf Coast Charters. Captain Jerry (spelling?) was awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable and was engaged with us the entire trip. What sets this group apart from the rest is that they really do enjoy what they are doing and it shows.  The personal touch they offer and their friendliness is what keeps us coming back year after year. We caught a wide variety of fish on our trip that included Trout, Mullet, Stingray, Croaker and Catfish.  While we were successful, I really wish people understood the difference between fishing and catching on their reviews. Just because you book a trip, you are not guaranteed a bounty of fish. This group of Captains give you the best opportunity to catch fish and will try multiple areas to try and ensure you success. Whether or not your reeling them in, your great experience often depends on the service and in our case we caught fish and had great service. Also wanted to give a shout out to Captain John and his wife. After our trip they engaged us in conversation and offered all of us refreshments and snacks. They are great folks and we will continue coming back.

When I was going to book this trip there were so many to choose from I started reading reviews. Captain John and crew had so many amazing reviews I instantly knew to book with him. We were greeted with enthusiasm and friendliness and that only grew in leaps and bounds as we fished the day away laughing and making memories. Chastity was so attentive to us and John kept us belly laughing while he fished with us. By the end Chastity had not only invited us back to their home to cook our catch for us we ended up sticking around for hours enjoying an evening with them and their friends. My two sons instantly bonded with them and we all became friends instead of clients and we are already planning a return trip this spring! Thank you so much John and Chastity for your over the top hospitality to me and my guys and our friends. You are both truly the kindest folks we met in Alabama and the cherry on top to our first vacation to Gulf Shores! We would love to have you take us up on your invite to Texas so we can show you the same kind of welcome! And for sure see you this spring! Unbelievable time. Captain John took us tight yo the fish. Soon to be captain Ari kept are hooks baited and back in the water after the catch. We caught what we wanted to keep and then some. Great trip. Great crew. Everyone said it is the highlight of the trip. Tx all
