Sometimes you have to roll the dice on the weather this time of year. Weather man says its not going to be the best, and to some degree, he was partly correct. With a hearty crew able to handle some fairly moderate seas, we began the trip putting the lines in as soon as we cleared the rocks.It wasn’t even a minute before Bryant tapped thee we rail, indicating we had a cosh on! He didnt havw to do that agaim for a long time, because we always had multiple fish on. The spanis were. Oming in so fast, bryant had to just put them in the livebait well which was not being used for its standard purpose. After just an hour, we had reached our boat limit, and pulled all ghe lines in so as not to catch anymore. What an epic bite.

With a windy March drawing to a close, the weather backed off and allowed for a trip to our favorite Vermilion Snapper rocks. With an energetic crew and hard fishing crew resdy to fill the box, we were able to ger a limit of 10 per person in pretty short order! They aren’t the biggest of the fish we catch, but in many anglers opinion, they are one of the best eating! It was a fun day with beautiful springtime weather, calm seas and hungry fish!

Fhe charter wanted their son to catch fish, and lots of them he did! Sabastian hauled in 3 large triggerfish and lots of Vermillion snapper as well as some red snapper. It’s always fun to see the kids catch the biggest fish. Happy Birthday Sabastian!
