If you want to add some native flair to your Mexican fishing adventure, then come aboard Fishing in Sayulita with Popperman and let your guide Jorge Pantoja (“Popperman,” as he’s known) show you how the locals reel ‘em in! A common motto around these parts is “Eat fish…live longer!” and Popperman will have you going after some seriously tasty table fare. Cast off on an incredible adventure and hook some delicious dinner, too!
Popperman is a lifelong angler, and studied marine biology at university – he always knew he wanted to grow up to be a fishing guide. Now, he uses his wealth of experience to take guests out to the hottest spots around, and help them reel in their dream catch. He specializes in using a variety of techniques, but as his name suggests, his favorite is popping!
Popperman believes that fishing should be accessible to all guests, and prides himself on offering affordable, family-friendly angling trips. No matter your age or skill level, you’ll be welcome on board this charter and will have the chance to hook your dream catch.
You’ll be traveling on board “La Tortuga II,” a 25’ Immensa saltwater fishing vessel, built to transport up to 4 guests out to the hotspots. She’s decked out with GPS, a live bait well, and life jackets. She’s rigged with all the fishing gear you’ll need for a fun and productive day on the water, including top-notch rods and reels, fly fishing equipment, a variety of lures, and tackle.
When it comes to the species on offer, get ready to troll, pop, jig, spin, and fly fish for anything from Mahi Mahi, to Red Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Bonito, Snook, Yellowfin Tuna, the mighty Sailfish, and plenty more. Popperman will be on hand to show you the ropes, as well as his favorite local tips!
As well as top angling action, catering is also available upon request. PPepperman’s specialties include sashimi, ceviche, and fish salad. He can prepare your catch any way you’d like – BBQ, baked, pan-fried, breaded…the list goes on!
