One of the best things about fishing the nearshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico is that it won’t take long before you hear that reel scream. Here, the most popular catches include Snook, Spotted Seatrout, and Lane Snapper – each one of them known for either their fighting abilities or great taste.
But before you start fishing, you’ll need a ride to the hot bite, and captain’s 25’ Imemsa boat is fit for the job. She’s powered by a 60 HP Suzuki engine, very stable and safe on the waves. There’s room on board for up to 6 anglers and they can all fish at the same time. You’ll have quality rods and reels to use (Zepto, Daiwa, Shimano), and there’s also a fighting chair for those extra big catches.
When you’d like to have a breather, do some snorkeling and witness up close the beautiful marine life. The captain will have the snorkeling gear ready, just make sure you tell him in advance you’d like do include snorkeling into your package.
The crew offers all-inclusive trips, so you don’t need to bring anything with you, except maybe sunscreen. Drinks and lunch will wait for you on board, as well as all the fishing equipment you require. The first mate is there to make the whole expedition even more comfortable.
He’ll take care of the cleaning and filleting of the catch for your convenience, and for all his effort, tips are encouraged. If you’d like to have your catch cooked, Capt. Pakorro has a restaurant where they can take care of it for you for a small charge.
