Venice LA, United States

Home Run Charters’ brand new Skeeter is quick, nimble and loaded with gadgetry, and will ensure you get the most out of your inshore fishing trip. With a new anchor-mode trolling motor, you can land a fish without having to drop anchor, while an eight-foot power pole, XM Satellite weather, radar and other high-tech perks add to the fun.

You’ll only use the best equipment when you fish with us.

We’ve invested in the latest fishing gear and tackle, and maintain it regularly, to ensure you have the right tools to land scale-busting fish.

All of our equipment is able to withstand the beating that giant pelagic fish inflict. Some of the gear you’ll use will include:

Top-of-the-line 30w and 50w Shimano stand up gear
Stand- up reels matched with custom-made, ultra-tough Pinnacle Marine rods
Stella spinning reels to launch the poppers to where the fish are feeding
Fin-Nor jigging reels on Trevala rods
We also have the perfect gear for landing mammoth reef fish, such as:

Three Kristal 621 and three Daiwa mega-twin reels that make it far easier to pull up fish from the depths of the gulf.

Venice, Louisiana is one of the few places in the world where you can hook a large-mouth bass, a giant red bull and an enormous speckled trout all in the same spot. And when you book a fishing charter with Home Run Charters, we’ll take you to some of the most productive fishing areas along the Louisiana Barrie Islands and the Mississippi Delta.

Cruise through calm inlets or past stunning beaches before battling feisty redfish, trout, drum fish and plenty of other species.

This spectacular diversity is the result of rich nutrients flowing from the Mississippi River into the nearby estuary, creating the optimal conditions for fish to thrive.

John Pisa loves to fish. But there’s one thing he enjoys even more: helping other anglers have the adventure of a lifetime. As a captain at Home Run Charters, John brings more than 20 years of experience fishing the waters of southern Louisiana. You might say that saltwater runs in his veins. John’s father began taking him out fishing at the age of five, where the pair would bond together catching whatever fish would tug his line. Over time, John’s love of the outdoors grew. But fishing wasn’t his only passion. John’s dad also owned a number of bars, the most famous of which being ‘Zachary’s’ in Baton Rouge. And when John grew older, he quickly acquired a taste for entertaining the customers and making sure everyone was having a good time. Today, John is combining both these passions as captain at Home Run Charters. Driven by the thrill of discovering new fishing adventures, he’s dedicated himself to helping others have an amazing experience on the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll get to know
