Johnny T Good will show you why it’s hard to resist fishing in Tampa. This sunny bay offers first-class inshore fishing and luckily, this is just what Captain John Thomas specializes in. He comes from a family of commercial fishermen and he’s been fishing in this area his whole life.
Capt. John invites you to join him on his 18’ Boston Whaler flats boat. This vessel accommodates 2 guests, so you can bring your fishing buddy along. Since there’s no minimum age policy and children’s life jackets are prepared, this can be a great chance to take your kid fishing for the first time!
You will fish the flats and inshore waters of Tampa Bay, and the list of fish species you can catch is amazing – Black Drum, Snook, Tarpon, Snapper, Redfish, Cobia, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, and Spotted Seatrout. Capt. John will prepare live bait before the trip and he also has a live bait tank to keep it fresh the whole time.
Capt. John will prepare your Penn Battle fishing gear and water, but you should bring snacks and sunscreen. Your meeting point is at Gandy Boat Ramp and there’s free parking close-by.
Capt. John says that fishing is his life and that is the reason that Johnny T Good is available year round. Book a trip with him and he will show you how to have a great time on the water!
