Florida’s Everglades are famous around the world for being home to a diverse range of fishing grounds, but nothing quite comes close to the incredible inshore opportunities that this part of the state has to offer. Whether you want to cruise the wild and wonderful backcountry for Snook, or sight fish the flats for Tarpon, join Capt. Ray Culver’s Guide Service to experience inshore Floridian fishing at its finest!

Captain Ray Culver is a 3rd generation charter captain who was born and raised in Chokoloskee, FL. He specializes in inshore flats fishing, and loves helping guests reel in their dream trophy catch – especially Tarpon, Snook, or Redfish! During certain times of the year, he takes his guests further out into productive fishing grounds for the chance to reel in Gag Grouper, Cobia, Barracuda, Permit, and more. Every charter is a unique experience!

Capt. Ray will take you out on your adventure in a 22’ Pathfinder center console. She can accommodate up to 3 guests, and her size makes her perfect for sight fishing the flats and mangroves. She can also comfortably navigate offshore waters. Onboard, you’ll find all the necessary safety and navigational gear, including fishfinder, GPS, and life jackets for all ages.

As for the species you’ll be targeting, Capt. Ray specializes in helping his guests reel in Tarpon, Redfish, and Snook on light tackle spinning and fly fishing gear. This makes for some of the most exciting flats fishing possible! Want to go after other world-famous Floridian species? Capt. Ray has been fishing his entire life, and will use his wealth of knowledge and experience to get you onto your dream catch.

Your trip includes top-quality rods, reels, and tackle for both spinning and fly fishing, as well as live bait to tempt your catch. You’ll also be provided with a valid fishing license. I'm a third generation charter captain out of Chokoloskee, FL. I have over forty years of experience on the water. I charter out of a 22' tournament edition Pathfinder and provide top-of-the-line gear for my customers. The species that we target range from fishing the backcountry mangroves for Snook, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Tarpon, to going offshore and targeting Tripletail, Permit, and Cobia. I've been featured on shows such as The Sportsman Adventure with Rick Murphy and have also fished on The Professional Redfish Circuit on both the FLW and IFA.
