Four of us took a 4 hour fishing trip with Alfonso and crew Pancho. Both worked very hard to catch us fish. It was a day after a storm so not much biting but we were able to hook a blue marlin that unfortunately got away.  They didn’t give up and later we caught a mahi mahi. We saw another boat that was out and they didn’t get a single bite. We had two other hits to the lines that morning. Alfonso is very knowledgeable and made the trip very relaxing for us. Pancho worked very hard reeling the lines in constantly and switching out the bait, getting the seaweed off the lines. We would definitely book a trip with Alfonso and Pancho again.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our group of 4 booked a half-day (4 hour) trip. We left shore from a beach restaurant in Playa Del Carmen at 1pm. Within the first 30 minutes Alfonso and Pancho hooked a 25lb Mahi-Mahi, and my friend Matthew reeled it in. The boat was comfortably able to hold everyone on board with room to spare. Our valuables were kept safe and dry in watertight compartments which we were free to access as we pleased. Plenty of FREE coronas and water bottles to go around. We went out into the ocean (not too far, the town and beaches were still visible) and travelled westward for 2 hours, before turning around for the remainder of the trip. You need zero experience fishing to go on this trip. Alfonso and Pancho handle the intricacies while you relax and have a few beers with your friends, then when a fish bites, all you have to do is reel it in. With 30+ years of experience, they can GUARANTEE you a catch. Alfonso, Pancho, thank you. My friends and i will be seeing you again. Hasta luego!

Alfonso right on time his first mate was there early preparing the boat. They both spoke very good english and described what we would be doing as well as some of the sights we saw while fishing. The first mate was very busy keeping lines and bait clean to make the chances of us catching better. Was a beautiful day but the fish were not biting very well. We only caught one fish but the experience was great and the skill of our captain Alfonso and his first mate were evident. We will definitely be back and use them again. Boat and equiptment were top notch. Thanks guys for providing great experience for us.

We booked a 1pm trip with Alfonso knowing that typically mornings prove to be better fishing. But, it was vacation and a 5am wake up on vacation was not what I wanted to do. We checked out the reviews for Alfonso and decided to book it away. He did not disappoint. Alfonso knew exactly where the fish were and what lures and method to use to get our catch. Our afternoon adventure brought in a 10 pound black tuna and a smaller Mahi Mahi that we put back. We also hooked onto a large sailfish, but it snapped the line right away, that was actually very exciting.  He was very professional and his experience of the area was amazing as he knew exactly where to go to make our trip successful. We will definitely be using Alfonso again on our next trip.

We had a great day on the water with Alfonso and his helper. He kept us involved and interested from the time he met us at 7:30 and got us onboard. It was a beautiful day with small to medium swells, but nothing too big. We early on caught a barracuda which we returned after a good fight and later a good size Mahi Mahi. We opted to keep the Mahi Mahi and have it prepared for us at a restaurant on shore for lunch joined by Alfonso and his partner. All in all it was a wonderful day. This was a repeat trip for us with Alfonso as we fished with him on our previous trip to Playa del
Carmen and enjoyed him and the trip so much that we immediately searched for him when we decided to make the trip again and we’re very happy to find him available!
