North Pacific Adventures – Barbara
Join North Pacific Adventures for an offshore adventure! Captains Freddy and Ariel are La Cruz locals and they have been fishing their whole lives in this area. They will take you on a trip from El Jobo, one of the most secluded destinations in Costa Rica. This quiet village is well-known for its gorgeous beaches to visitors, but locals also know about the great fishing spots that this hidden gem holds.
The captains welcome you aboard their 30’ Gorfett boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. She was newly restored in 2018 and she’s powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine. Fully equipped with all navigational and safety necessities, it also has an enclosed toilet and an ice box. Snorkeling equipment will also be provided if you want to take a break from fishing, just make sure to mention it to the captain in advance.
The boat departs from Playa El Jobo, but the captain can also pick you up from the Dreams Las Mareas hotel. Your Captain will prepare live bait in advance and your offshore quest can start! It usually takes 35 minutes to reach the best fishing spots and then the hunt begins. You will mostly target Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Roosterfish, Snapper, and Spanish Mackerel.
The captain will provide your Penn fishing equipment, refreshing beverages, and snacks. Children are also welcome, but they need to be at least 4 years old. Captains Freddy and Ariel love teaching people how to fish, so a great time is guaranteed, regardless of your angling skills. Book a trip with North Pacific Adventures and enjoy Costa Rica from a different perspective.
