VA Striper Charters runs angling trips out of Huddleston and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.

Capt. Brian is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using light tackle, or heavy tackle, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 5 to 8-hour trips, you will target Perch and different species of Bass, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 23’ Carolina Skiff boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat features an ice box, and a wireless trolling motor.

When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Don’t forget to buy a fishing license before the trip!

You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.

This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

I have been fishing since I can remember and have owned a boat since I was 15. The majority of my early fishing years were spent fly fishing in small mountain creeks for native brook Trout. Later I became interested in tournament Bass fishing and played with this game for about 10 years. Then I got the bug for freshwater Striped Bass fishing. Moving to Southwest Virginia on Smith Mountain lake, I was catching Stripers consistently and had the seasonal patterns figured out. Now I am living on the West coast of Florida and fishing the salt water patterns. Most of my fishing now is in shore and with light tackle. Targeting species such as Trout, Snook, Snapper, Tarpon, Sheepshead, and Redfish.
