Skeena Wilderness Freshwater Fishing
Be at one with nature along the incredible rivers just out of Terrace, BC. Skeena Wilderness Fishing will guide you along the intricate, winding waterways among the stunning mountains as you search for some prized Salmon and Steelheads. Along the Skeenas, Kitsumkalum, Zymagotitz, and other freshwater rivers, you’ll get to test your skills on the fly or with light tackle, as you settle in for a thrilling day.
Captain Stan Doll will be your guide. A native to Terrace, he’s been fishing these waters for over 60 years. Having run professional trips for over 45 years, he’s built a successful family charter business, and knows exactly what makes an enjoyable and productive day on the water.
He’s come a long way since buying his first boat aged 16. So you’ll head out aboard an 18’ Kingfisher jet boat. Light and spacious enough for up to 4 guests, you’ll whizz to the sweet spots thanks to the 225 HP Sport Jet engine. Any equipment you want can be provided, but feel free to bring your own lucky tackle.
When you find the fish, hop onto the riverbank and start casting. In stunning surroundings, with luscious trees, towering mountains, and a range of incredible wildlife, it’ll just be you, your pals, and Capt. Stan, testing your skills against some legendary fish.
Bring your A-game to reel in delicious Salmon and tough-fighting Steelheads. You’ll have the river to yourselves, so spread out and cast on the fly, or use a conventional rod and reel with a range of artificial lures and live bait to attract the bite of these thrilling species.
Capt. Stan will pick you up in the local area before the trip at no extra cost, and can even help arrange accommodation. All you need to do is grab your fishing license, bring some food and drinks aboard, and dress appropriately. You may not find peace, but you’ll certainly find an incredible experience. Discover this idyllic corner of Canada with Skeena Wilderness Fishing.
