Mark's Reel Fishing Adventures
If you’re looking to explore the bountiful waters of Ucluelet, Canada, you can’t go wrong with Mark’s Reel Fishing Adventures. In the indigenous language, Ucluelet means “people of the safe harbor,” and safety is one of main priorities for Captain Mark Durante, along with putting his clients on fish and showing them all the natural beauties the area has to offer.
He has over 30 years of fishing experience and will teach you all the do’s and don’ts for landing that fish of your dreams. Mark will also show you the best fishing and scenic spots, answer all the questions you might have about the area and fishing. He has a lot of returning customers, but he always likes meeting new people from all over the world, so that’s why he decided to list on FishingBooker in February of 2019.
Mark invites anglers from everywhere to spend the day aboard the “Easy Days,” his 29’ offshore sportfishing boat. It features a full restroom, comfortable seating, and a kitchen with a fridge. The boat also has the latest marine electronics and safety gear.
Powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha main engines, it also has twin 9.9 HP high thrust kickers on either side of the main engines that are used when slow trolling with the bait in the water. The vessel can take up to 6 passengers – 4 adults and 2 kids who are 4 years and older, to be precise. If your party has more than 4 adults, it’s possible to make arrangements if you contact the captain before the trip.
He always tries to meet his clients’ demands, so he asks them what they want to do and gives recommendations based on that. Depending on your preferences, you’ll get to focus on Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish. You’ll be going up to 25–30 miles offshore, trolling with 2 lines in the water or spinning with spoons for Coho.
Mark’s Reel Fishing Adventures will provide all the fishing gear and bait. You should bring layered clothing, rain gear, lunch and drinks, and a camera.
