Salmon Chaser Charters does exactly what it says in the name. Based out of Kenosha, WI, you'll access Lake Michigan's rich waters in search of prized Coho and Chinook Salmon, along with plenty of Trout, too. These delicious creatures will make for excellent table fare at the end of your trip, so bring an appetite with you and you'll have the edge over the fish, no problem.
There's no one better to show you these waters than Captain Shane Lemke. A local to the area, he's been fishing Lake Michigan for over 25 years, running trips since 2012. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and just loves to share his passion with others. Beginners are welcome aboard to learn from the maestro, as he hopes to get you hooked.
The 33' Tiara offshore sportfishing boat is something to behold. Built in 1984, she's a classic vessel, still providing comfort and fun for groups of up to 6. Fitted with a multimedia system, kitchen, and full head toilet, you're in for a smooth ride offshore. Bring your own drinks and snacks aboard, and enjoy the journey. But please, make sure not to bring any glasses.
Head up to 20 miles into the deep waters of Lake Michigan and go after the prized fish. Your captain will set up the trolling lines to give you maximum chance of landing plenty of Salmon and Trout. As well as Coho and Chinook Salmon, you'll target Lake and Brown Trout, along with Steelheads, giving you the chance to catch some of the most sought-after freshwater game fish in the country.
At the end of your trip, Capt. Shane will clean and fillet your fish at no extra cost, so you'll be good to head home and cook your delicious catch right away. All you need to do is grab a fishing license and bring a cooler to take your catch away in. Everything else is taken care of with Salmon Chaser Charters. After we booked, Captain Shane quickly contacted us and responded to any questions we had before the outing. Once we were out on the boat he was very busy getting lines out, answering questions, changing out lures to what seemed to be working, and grabbing rods for us when a fish was on. He did a great job of communicating and answering all our questions prior to the trip. Once we were on the boat, he was all business. He got us out in the water, got things set up and within five minutes we had fish biting. He was professional and very responsive, quickly answering all of our questions up front. The boat was very spacious and comfortably fit our group of 6. Captain Shane was able to get us out on the waters in no time and we had fish biting right away. He knows the waters and has a great eye on the rods, not letting any opportunity slip. We simply had a blast and Captain Shane was able to coach us through the entire process. Kid friendly. 1st timer/beginner friendly. We will definitely be booking again with Captain Shane and Salmon Chaser Charters!

Captain Shane was a very knowledgeable and professional Captain. His equipment was well kept and professionally managed. He was willing to answer any questions that were asked in a helpful and informative way. he was very efficient with the time we had on the trip and every move he made was in a fast and efficient manner. He was willing to try out different types of tackle to get us on fish. 10/10 would recommend using this Captain again!! Great with any level of experience fisherman.

I can't say enough about the excellent experience we (4) had with Shane and "Salmon Chaser." The boat, and Captain Shane was a fantastic experience. We caught a ton of fish from Lake Trout to Salmon (Coho & King). I can't say enough about Captain Shane's professionalism and how well he found fish, manned the rods with skill and organization. Captain Shane was a master of his vessel and employed great skill when there was "...a fish on..." and how well everything flowed when we were in full catch mode. There were several times when we had two fish on the lines and he was masterful with his instructions and quick reaction time. Definitely will be calling Captain Shane again this year.

My son and I had a great experience. A few quick facts that I think everyone should be aware of: - the Boat was clean and Safe - the captain is a true veteran in regards to fishing. This was clear by his knowledge of not only the top class fishing equipment he had but also knowledge of how to catch fish and where In summary of you are looking for an experienced captain and want to catch fish, this is the charter you should select AK
