Known for its historical significance and the abundance of marine life, Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, has so much to offer when it comes to fishing. If you’re looking to explore these plentiful deep Caribbean waters with an experienced captain at the helm, you need a trip with J-String!
They’re a family owned business operated by Captain Eddy and his son, mate Anthony. They have been running successful deep sea fishing charters for over 30 years and what separates them from others is their vast experience, friendly approach, and a desire to custom tailor their trips to each customer.
Jump aboard their 36’ Crusader offshore sportfishing boat for an incredible day on the water. The “J-String” comes with a 320 HP Caterpillar engine, outriggers, downriggers, an ice-box, and not one, but 3 fighting chairs. It also features a restroom, shower, beds, and a kitchen for maximum comfort on longer trips.
This beauty can take up to 6 anglers to the most productive spots fishing at the same time. Your lines will be wet just 5 minutes after leaving the dock. The waters here get very deep very quickly so you could be catching A-game species just 8 miles from shore. You’ll be fishing the deep blues and reefs in pursuit of Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Barracuda, Jacks, and much more.
The catch will be shared between customers and the crew – you’ll get to keep enough to have a hearty dinner for 10. Billfish are the only species that are released back into the water.
The captain will supply top-notch fishing gear, lures, and dead bait. Snorkeling equipment can also be provided for more people – just consult the captain before the trip to check if your size is available. Drinks and licenses are covered, as well as fish cleaning. If you don’t want to take your catch home, the captain will gladly recommend a restaurant that will cook it for you.
J-String can’t wait to have you onboard!
