Based out of Trenton, MI, Northstar Fishing Charters will take you to the Detroit River’s prime fishing spots. Straddle the Canadian border as the fish know no limits, and you’ll be in for a fishing frenzy, targeting exciting, delicious freshwater fish. Captain Andrew Hendrickson will be your guide. A professional angler of over 35 years, he turned his attention to running charters in 2018, as he just loves to help people catch some monster fish.
Drift along the picturesque river aboard a 21’ Skitter aluminum fishing boat. Built for fishing freshwater rivers and lakes, she’s a sturdy vessel, ready to carry you and up to 4 friends. Powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine, you’ll speed off to the sweet spots with the wind in your hair. Fishing is thirsty work, so the captain will provide water for you to stay hydrated. Just bring whatever snacks and drinks you want aboard.
Live bait will be prepared before the trip and kept fresh in the onboard live well. You’ll use these useful lures as you jig along the river in the hope of attracting the bite of an exciting fish. Go after exciting Walleye and beautiful Yellow Perch for a thrilling time on the water, and an even better treat at the end of the day. The first mate will clean and prepare your catch for you to take home, so you’re good to go as soon as you step on land.
Everything you need for a productive day’s fishing is taken care of with Northstar Fishing Charters. All you need to do is grab your fishing license and get booking! Capt. Andrew also encourages you to bring your own CDs aboard to blast out your own tunes during the day. Get in touch with him if you have any questions, and he’ll be more than happy to help.
