LR Hastings
Carrabelle is part of Florida’s “Forgotten Coast,” but Captain Lawrence (“LR”) Hastings is here to show you why you should be putting it on your map of first-class fishing spots. It’s home to bustling inshore and nearshore fishing grounds, and Capt. LR knows exactly where to go to hook huge Redfish, feisty Tarpon, tasty Flounder, and plenty more. Come aboard LR Hastings charters and get ready for a fantastic time out on these waters!
Capt. LR discovered his passion for angling through watching his father fish. At the age of 14, he decided to try it out for himself, and it was love at first bite! Since then, he’s fine-tuned his skills, and uses his years of experienced to explore the inshore and nearshore waters of Carrabelle, St Marks, and Panacea. He warmly welcomes anglers of all ages and skill levels to come and discover them with him!
You’ll be heading out on your adventure on board Capt. LR’s 18’ flats boat, custom-built to provide a first-class fishing trip out on these waters. She can easily navigate Carrabelle’s seriously shallow flats, as well as traveling out to nearshore fishing grounds. On board, you’ll find room for up to 3 guests, GPS, an ice box to store your catch, and life jackets in a variety of sizes.
Capt. LR offers a variety of trips, suitable for brand-new anglers, families with little ones, and more hardened fishermen. He prefers fishing around the tide, where the hottest bite can often be found. You’ll have the chance to target some world-famous Floridian favorites, including hard-fighting Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Flounder, and plenty more.
Your captain will provide rods, reels, lures, and tackle for you, and will help you master the best technique to hook your catch. Want to try out some less conventional techniques? Bring along your fly fishing or bowfishing gear. Your fishing license is included, so all that’s left is to come aboard LR Hastings charters and discover Carrabelle’s unforgettable fishing opportunities!
