Gert Van der Walt Fishing
Team up with Gert Van der Walt Fishing and head out to the beach to explore the fishing potential of Namibia! With a lifetime of fishing experience on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Gert is the expert you need to have a great time and catch something brag-worthy.
If you find yourself in Swakopmund, and you’d like to try your hand in the local fisheries, your guide will know exactly where to take you. You can come to your fishing expedition alone or with a couple of angling friends, and Gert will accommodate you all.
You will be casting your line from the shore, and Gert will provide Penn and Shimano rods and reels, as well as all the necessary tackle. On your line, you can expect to find Kob and Black Bream. Your guide excels in Shark fishing, so if you want to chase these predators, you can expect Tope Shark, Bronze Whaler, and Spotted Gully.
Reeling them in will be a challenge because these bad boys are fighters, but that’s where the adrenaline kicks in. Gert will clean and fillet everything you catch and decide to keep, but bear in mind that Sharks are catch-and-release only.
All you need for your fun fishing day is a valid fishing license, which you can buy in a nearby tackle shop, drinks, and snacks to keep you energized. Your kids are welcome to join in, it’s always fun watching the excitement of the little ones as the rod bends.
Gert can organize accommodation for his anglers, and he can also pick you up from the airport, without any extra charge. All things considered, Gert Van der Walt Fishing offers all-inclusive fishing adventures in Namibia you don’t want to miss out on if you’re a passionate angler!
