Hop aboard the captain’s 24’ Sea Ray and see why Port Alberni is considered one of Canada’s ultimate fishing towns. The boat is powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, perfect for cruising the Barkley Sound and the intricate river systems that stem from it. It comes stocked with a fishfinder, GPS, ice box, and all necessary safety equipment. It also fits up to 4 guests comfortably which is great for family trips or friends’ get-togethers.
You’ll mainly be using light tackle while jigging or trolling up and down the Stamp, Somass, or Sproat Rivers. Here, you will be targeting Chum, Coho, and Sockeye Salmon, as well as Halibut and Rainbow (Steelhead) Trout. Top-quality rods and reels are provided on each trip, so just be sure to purchase a fishing license and bring your favorite food, drinks, and proper clothing.
