When the season kicks off, Gianna Helena Charters is ready to take you offshore. Based out of Montauk, NY, you'll have access to some of the East Coast's premier fishing destinations. Whether you're looking to hit the famous inshore fisheries of the Long Island Sound or you fancy heading further out to the Atlantic, Captain Lou has you covered. A lifelong angler, his experience is unrivaled, and he's happy to show you all the best fishing grounds.
The spacious 31ft custom built Steigercraft is the perfect vessel to explore these productive waters. Strong and sturdy, she can handle the deepest offshore water and is equally comfortable in the shallows. Capt. Lou takes pride in the boat's appearance and ensures that she's detailed regularly. Up to 4 guests are welcome aboard for an exciting adventure in pleasant confines.
Every trip is tailored to your needs, so head offshore for some deep sea fishing, or stay nearshore and target some trophy-sized, delicious fish. Get in touch with your captain to let him know what kind of fishing you want to do. Using live bait, you'll bottom fish or troll as you target a range of exciting fish. Tough-fighting and delicious in taste, Striped Bass, Tautog, Flounder, and Seabass will provide for a thrilling day, as well as a great reward afterward.
Capt. Lou will clean and prepare your catch when you get back to shore, so you'll be ready to cook right away. There's really nothing for you to do except sit back, and enjoy your day on the water. Bring your own snacks and drinks aboard – just make sure there's no glass bottles – and settle in for a memorable day. Gianna Helena Charters is waiting to take you away.

Awesome fishing trip
Full Day Trip on July 13, 2024 • 4 adults
Capt Lou was gracious and knowledgeable of the laws,where to catch,and what we were looking for.Which was catching and keeping plenty of fish.We caught so many but still managed to catch a lot of keepers!!

A Day with Captain Lou aboard The GH!
Half Day Trip (AM) on October 23, 2021 • 4 adults
I had a window of weather and time off that I wanted to take advantage of. I called Capt Lou and I was thrilled to find out he had the day available. I've fished with Capt Lou for many years now, but this trip was special. As it was just me and the Captain. My fishing buddys were unable to join me, so I decided to book the trip anyway. We left the dock approx 7am and steamed out of the harbor to a chilly cloudy morning. By the time we reached The Point, the skies were clearing and the wind had settled. Birds were working overhead diving into the schools of baitfish and pointing us in the direction of our catch. I was so excited when Captain Lou decided to join me out on the deck. He even expressed "how awesome it was to finally bend a rod" after a long summer of teaching and watching others. We had a blast. I lost count of the # of striped bass we caught. All released I might add, however, I did keep one for the table.
Thanks again Capt for a great day of fishing and laughter. Enjoy the pics! See ya next season.

Awesome trip. Caught my first stripped bass but was too small to keep.

We had an excellent time out fishing with Captain Lou. He was really helpful and his boat was great. We were catching fish the whole time… caught enough fluke and porgies to make a delicious dinner!
Will definitely book again for a future trip and would recommend highly.

Captain Lou, thank you for an awesome fishing trip. The boat is brand new and the captain keeps it immaculate. Captain Lou made sure my son i laws and my self were comfortable the whole trip and despite we couldn’t get to the south side because of 5’ waves he put us on the fish all day. The fishing equipment is top notch and the bonus feature enjoyed by my son in laws were the cup holders next to each rod holder. 👍👍👍
