Operating out of Ocean City, Coastal Guide Service's goal is to make your trip memorable, enjoyable, and keep you safe in the process. The owner has been fishing these bountiful waters since 2009, and he can't wait to share all his knowledge!
You will be fishing from a 28' Dusky center console with full curtains, up to date Garmin electronics, Sat Phone, a Standard Horizon VHF radio, and all the equipment you need to catch the target species. The boat also features outriggers, downriggers, a livewell, and a cooler for your food/drinks.
Bring the whole family – the captain loves teaching kids all the fun things about fishing. Just contact him in advance if you're bringing kids so you can agree on what you'll be doing and so he can prepare appropriate life jackets for them. This is a very hands-on operation, and the crew lets you do as much as you would like to. If you want to gaff a fish, go for it! They can do customized trips to fit all your fishing needs.
Species you can expect to catch depending on the time of year include Triggerfish, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Sea Bass, Tautog, Bluefish, and even Sharks.
The captain will provide Penn reels, along with some custom and Star rods, live bait, and lures. Live bait is sometimes caught, sometimes bought, depending on the time of year and targeted species. You can keep the catch with fish cleaning available.
Bring sunscreen (no-spray), cameras, beverages (no glass), and food. It's also a good idea to bring layered clothing.

Captain Justin and 1st mate Roman were great guides. We got on fish pretty early on the trip with a small shark, followed by a 44" drum, and then a 300 to 400# sand tiger. Last catch was about a 200# sandbar shark. As with all fishing, there were lulls between catches, but we caught exactly what we hoped to get plus a surprise catch with the drum. Great experience. I've been on a few charters before. The crew and experience on this one was the best I've had.
Captain Justin bumped us from Monday to Tuesday due to weather and it was an excellent call. We brought avid anglers to newbies and we were put on fish right away and for the duration of the trip. Managed to hook into a bucketlist fish as well. don't hesitate to book a trip with Capt. Justin.
Hands-down one of the best fishing trips we've ever had! Justin was not only incredibly friendly but also impressively knowledgeable—his expertise was clear from the moment we hit the water. We ended the day with over 40 fish and nonstop smiles. As someone with over 30 years of experience fishing freshwater and inshore (and even owning my own boat), I can confidently say Justin knows exactly what he’s doing. I’ve been on big-name charters before and left empty-handed, but this trip was the exact opposite—worth every penny and then some. Captains like Justin are the reason people fall in love with fishing all over again. Five stars all the way. Thank you for an unforgettable day—we’re already looking forward to booking our next adventure!
our famiky had a great fishing trip! the Captain and his crew were quick with the reels ready for our entire family ranging from 5 to 14. they thought us everything we needed to be successful. we caught flounder and stringray. had some bites from toug. 10/10 recommend!

Flounder were biting, despite the keepers that got away! 😉 Cpt. Justin swore we had a state record on the line, lol! 😂 Cpt. & 1st mate provided just the right amount of assistance & guidance. Best part was the quality family time.
