Griffin Sport Fishing Charters
Griffin Sport Fishing Charters
Lake Michigan has many fishing adventures to offer to both beginner and pro anglers, and if you're eager to explore its waters, Griffin Sport Fishing Charters is an excellent choice! With skilled Captain Brian Griffin to lead the way, you're in for a productive fishing trip.
Your guide has been casting his lines in Lake Michigan for over 15 years, and he enjoyed it so much, he decided to make it his full-time job. He will take you to the best fish hideouts to catch anything from Coho and Chinook Salmon to Rainbow, Brown, and Lake Trout.
Delicious Salmon are abundant here, and you can easily hook your next personal record, both when it comes to the size and the quantity of the fish. Trout also come in formidable numbers, but Salmon remains the most prized catch. After the trip, you will get your catch cleaned and filleted.
You will be fishing out of a 36' Peacemaker – an offshore sport fisher that can comfortably sit up to 6 people. Outfitted with twin 350 HP Crusader engines, the vessel will get you to the best bite in no time. There's a private toilet on board and plenty of room for everybody to fish at the same time.
Capt. Brian will provide you with the quality fishing equipment, including Shimano and Abu Garcia rods and reels. A friendly first mate will tell you what to do when the reels start screaming and if needed, he'll help you bring your catch into the boat. He works for tips, so a 15–20% is a customary way of showing your gratitude.
When going on a trip with Griffin Sport Fishing Charters, you will need to bring your fishing license, a spare cooler for your catch, as well as food and drinks. Kids are welcome to join you – as long as they're 5 and older – there's more than enough space and fish for everyone. Wet your lines in Lake Michigan and catch something worth bragging about!

Small Group 6hr AM Charter on June 24, 2025 • 4 adultsBrian and Jack found good area to fish and we were one fish shy of our limit so we were very pleased. Im sure we would have gotten there if we didn’t request to leave an hour early due to the heat. Fun experience!

Rachel Rose5.0Salmon Fishing With Captain Brian
Early Morning Bite 6hr (AM) on July 1, 2020We booked a half day charter with Captain Brian Griffin and had an absolute blast! This was the first time my wife had ever went salmon fishing, and she was hooked! Everything about our experience was top notch. Captain Brian was exceptionally patient and courteous, which really impressed my spouse. The boat was immaculate and obviously maintained well. It was spacious and comfortable, and we felt very safe out on the lake. The fishing was excellent, but the laughs with Captain Brian really made the trip. We'll be bringing our whole family back next summer. 10/10 would recommend to any family looking for an awesome adventure!
FishingBooker Member5.06hr trip experience with The Griffin
Small Group 6hr AM Charter on May 24, 2021My dad and I took a 6hr trip with Brian Griffin a few years back that jump started my learning curve and passion for Great Lakes salmon/trout fishing! His knowledge base helped slice my learning curve in half, allowing me to take my own boat out with confidence and put fish in the box. Part of the experience is camaraderie and bringing fish home, the other part is the knowledge and experience I gained while fishing with him.
Stacy G5.0Fathers Day Trip

Early Morning Bite 6hr (AM) on May 14, 2021 • 3 adultsBrian is a great guide. The fish were a little slow in the early morning, but picked up by mid morning. Limited out on lake trout and scored a king salmon. Brian was very helpful throughout.

Brian, thank you very much for this review! We are so glad you enjoyed your charter and we look forward to seeing you again! Give us a call anytime!
Captain Brian and his First mate (Jack) did an amazing job guiding our family. Both are very good with helping kids and adults experience salmon fishing. We caught a mixed bag of fish (kings, Coho and steelhead) on an afternoon trip today. I'd recommend Brian for anyone wanting to go with a charter and/with kids learning how to fish.
