Nauti Hooker Charters invites you to fish with them on the astonishing waters of Chesapeake Bay. They’ll take you to the best known fishing hot spots of the Eastern Shore of Maryland but also show you a few hidden places you may have never seen. Capt. Richard Phippin has been fishing the bay since he was a teenager and he knows it like the palm of his hand.

Your trip will be aboard Miss Nikki, a 25’ Maycraft pilothouse with an extended hardtop and canvas for those cold days. Powered by a 225 HP Johnson engine, with a cruising speed of 24 knots, rest assured you’ll get where you need to be very fast. The boat is equipped with a state of the art navigation system, fish finder, and safety equipment. She also features an enclosed cabin with a porta potty. Miss Nikki is fully licensed and insured.

The Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries offer an opportunity to catch many different species depending on the time of year. You can go after Striped Bass (Rockfish), Spotted Seatrout, Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Silver Perch, Flounder, or Spanish Mackerel. You’ll be trolling, light tackle casting, jigging, and bait fishing – whatever will make the fish bite best.

    This trip gives you the maximum fishing time and the best chance of catching a variety of species. Depending on the season, you can reel in Striped Bass, Spotted Seatrout, Silver Perch, or Bluefish. After the trip, your captain will clean and fillet your catch that you can take home with you.

    Capt. Richie provides all rods, reels, tackle, and licenses. Of course, you can bring your lucky rod as well! Targeted species will change depending on the season and there's always something that will be a tasty meal after the trip. Catch and release is always encouraged for population perseverance.

"I grew up around fishing and started fishing myself when I was a teenager. I loved it and have been doing it ever since. I try to do whatever is the best method for the time of year and the fish I am pursuing. My absolute favorite is casting to breakers and jigging in the fall." Capt. Richard occasionally participates in "catch and release" fishing tournaments. His biggest catch so far is 43" Rockfish.
