Pelican Fishing Charters
Want to avoid the hustle and bustle that comes with fishing in Mexico’s more well-known tourist spots? Make your way down to Puerto Peñasco, Sonora’s best-kept secret, and add an angling adventure with Pelican Fishing Charters to the top of your “to-do” list! With friendly, experienced angling aficionado Captain Procoro Jaimez Jaomez at the helm, you’ll be treated to an incredible day out on these relatively-untouched waters.
Whether you’re looking to bottom fish for tasty table fare, introduce your kids to the thrill of angling, or head out to seriously deep waters for huge big game, Capt. Jaimez is the man for the job. Before working as a charter captain, he commercially fished all over America, including the waters around Acapulco and the Great Lakes. He has over 30 years of experience under his belt, and knows exactly how to approach the variety of fishing grounds on offer here in Puerto Peñasco.
You’ll be fishing from your captain’s 26’ Chris Craft cuddy cabin. She’s built to accommodate up to 8 guests, and offers plenty of room for everyone to fish at the same time. Capt. Jaimez warmly welcomes anglers of all ages and skill levels, so bring along the whole family, or your best angling buddies! His vessel is decked out with top-notch navigational and safety gear and a private toilet. There’s even a seating area, so you can relax as you wait for the fish to bite.
These waters are home to an impressive variety of fish – you’ll be spoiled for choice! Bottom fishing is the perfect option for newer anglers, or families with little ones – you’ll stay closer to shore, but still be able to hook Grouper species, Cubera Snapper, Rockfish, and more. If you’re more experienced, or want to test your skills, you can choose to troll and deep sea fish for Mahi Mahi, White Seabass, Barracuda, and more up to 30 miles out.
Rods, reels, bait, tackle, and your license are included. Come aboard Pelican Fishing Charters and discover one of Mexico’s best-kept secrets!
