Cut Plug Charters- Seattle Fishing
If you’re looking for some of the best light tackle fishing for Salmon and Lingcod out of Seattle, you’re at the right place. Cut Plug Charters specializes in hands-on, active styles of fishing in Puget Sound. Captains Justin Wong and other team captains have been fishing their whole lives, and even though they love the sport itself, they love sharing their knowledge with the customers and showing them the beauties of these waters even more.
Their boat is a 21’ Grady White center console that can comfortably carry up to 5 anglers of all ages and skill levels. It comes with a 200 HP Yamaha engine, a live bait tank, an ice box, and an array of professional marine electronics and safety equipment.
Mooching for Salmon is the captains’ go-to technique, as the angler is very involved in this style of fishing where you will entice the fish to bite, set the hook, and reel your fish in entirely by yourself! All of the techniques they use are about active fishing and keeping you involved and in the game while on the water with them.
In addition to Chinook and Coho Salmon, you’ll also get to target Lingcod and Flounder. Apart from the light tackle, bottom fishing, and jigging, fly fishing is also an option if you make a request in advance. One or 2 anglers can fly fish at a time, and you’re also welcome to bring your own gear.
The captains will supply top-notch G. Loomis rods and Shimano reels, lures, and will even clean and fillet your catch. Live bait is seasonal, and they cannot guarantee it at all times, but if possible, captains will have it prepared before the trip. Fishing licenses can be bought on the boat for $10 per person.
If a shared charter is booked for 2 people and no other guests join you will have the private boat for 4hrs instead of a 6hr shared charter at no additional cost.
The only thing missing for a perfect day on the water? You!
