Your escapades will begin as soon as you come aboard the captain’s 24’ sport fisher, rigged with a 240 HP Mercruiser engine. There’s more than enough room on the boat for up to 4 people and all their catch. There’s a porta potty on board, and the captain has an ice box where you can keep your drinks and food. If you have it, bring a small cooler to transport the fresh fish home.

Capt. Randy loves different types of fishing, but chasing Salmon and Trout holds a special place in his heart. He knows where the best hotspots are when you want to catch Chinook, Coho, and Atlantic Salmon, and where Rainbow and Brown Trout like to hide. You will be casting your line around Port of Newcastle and maybe Port Hope, if the fishing conditions allow.

You can keep a few fish if you’d like, but catch and release is recommended when you’ve caught enough to fill your cooler. Solid Daiwa fishing equipment will wait for you on the boat, and after the expedition, your guide will clean and fillet everything you caught.

It’s up to you to buy and have a valid fishing license on the trip, and don’t forget to stock up on drinks, snacks, and lunch, if you’re going on a longer trip. The kids are welcome to join you, as long as they’re 6 and older, Capt. Randy will have life jackets for everyone.
