It’s time to book a trip with Local Waters today. Captain Jeffrey has been fishing these waters his whole life. He knows exactly where to go no matter the month. He’ll do everything he can to get fish on the end of your line. First-time anglers will especially love the patience and enthusiasm Capt. Jeffrey has.
You’ll fish on an 18’ skiff, great for maneuvering into those hard to reach areas. The poling platform is great for sight fishing, and the i-Pilot trolling motor will get you on top of the fish without scaring them away. This boat is ideal for the experienced angler who wants to fly fish the shallows, and first time anglers who want the extra edge when out on the water.
Every month of the year offers anglers new opportunities to catch great fish. Each fish has its peak season. Snook can be caught year round but is best from July to August. From April to August, you’re most likely to fight with a Tarpon. Redfish is good year round but offers the best chance to catch from July to August. For Flounder, head over during the winter months.
You’re welcome to fly fish on these trips, but you’ll need to take it in turns to fly fish. The equipment is all included, just let the captain know if you require live bait. The twilight trip is great for those wanting a taste of fishing with a stunning backdrop to match.
Whether this is a gift for a loved one, a trip for you and your buddy, or a parent and kid trip, Local Waters welcomes everyone aboard! There is seating available for when you get tired, too.
It’s best to wear a light long-sleeved t-shirt and white-soled shoes and bring along a light jacket. Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen, insect repellant, sun hat, and polarized sunglasses. You’ll need a packed lunch on the longer trips, and snacks on the shorter trips, which can all go into the captain’s cooler. Water is provided, as well as all your fishing gear and fishing license for the day.
