Looking to explore Playa El Jobo’s famously fish-filled waters? Come aboard Tony Expeditions, where you’ll be guided around some of the most plentiful hotspots and honey holes by a local and experienced captain! Who could possibly be better equipped to make sure you have the Costa Rican adventure of a lifetime?
Captain Tony is the man behind Tony Expeditions. He’s a lifelong fishing fanatic who’s been casting his line for as long as he can remember. He worked as a captain for many years before deciding to open his own charter company. He’s equally as passionate about providing incredible, unforgettable angling adventures to his customers as he about fishing!
You’ll either be guided around these waters by Capt. Tony or Captain Jorge, who works alongside him. Captain Jorge is especially good at teaching customers the ropes and will go above and beyond to assist you in any way possible. One thing’s for sure – no matter who you fish with, you’ll have an incredible day on the water.
Playa El Jobo’s waters are home to a whole host of colorful species. Depending on the trip you opt for, your captain will have you fishing the waters close to the national park, where you’ll come face-to-gills with tasty Snappers and Groupers, funky-looking Roosterfish, and Jack Crevalle. On longer trips, you’ll get the chance to head further out, usually around 11 miles from shore, where you’ll encounter Mahi Mahi, Marlin, and Sailfish.
You’ll be casting off from a 37’ California offshore vessel. She can accommodate up to 7 guests, so why not bring along your best angling buddies and indulge in some friendly competition? Children are warmly welcomed aboard, too, if you want to make this a family vacation to remember! On board, you’ll find navigational and safety gear, an enclosed toilet, and plenty of deck space for relaxing on.
Your captain will provide all the fishing gear you need, so all that’s left is to hop aboard Tony Expeditions and cast your line in these fish-filled waters!
