Deep-sea Fishing & Marine Adventures
Anglers at heart, come aboard! Deep-sea Fishing & Marine Adventures will take you on a Tuna hunt of a lifetime!
You’ll be fishing aboard the captain’s 44’ WayPoint. The vessel was built in 2004 at Hutt Bros and accommodates up to 12 guests. Powered by one mighty 510 HP Volvo engine, she can reach a maximum speed of 21 knots and reach offshore spots very fast. She also features a private bathroom, fighting chair, live bait tank, and an ice box.
There are 2 main areas where you’ll be fishing, Macleod’s Ledge and the High Bottom. Both fishing spots are where herring go to spawn and the giant Bluefin Tuna go to fatten up. For the past 8 years, this has been a heaven for fishing.
When the rod goes off, your adrenaline starts pumping. Tuna you’re going to reel in usually range in weight from 500 to 1,200 pounds. Since 2010, each year the success rate for a hook up has been 85–90%. During the 2014 season, the crew made 15 trips and released 28 fish. All caught Tuna has to be released.
Capt. Kenny will prepare your fishing equipment, while you should bring your food and drinks. Make sure to have rain gear and warm clothes.
Fishing for Bluefin Tuna is a great challenge. This fish is strong, enduring, and a trophy that you really need to earn. Deep-sea Fishing & Marine Adventures is here to make this challenge easier. What are you waiting for?
